Petrophila jaliscalis, #4775 - Petrophila jaliscalis

Petrophila jaliscalis, #4775 - Petrophila jaliscalis
n.w. Austin, Travis County, Texas, USA
October 26, 2010
Size: length abt. 6-7 mm
By accident, I obtained this flight shot of a small Petrophila which had just opened its wings to depart. It demonstrates--on the right side--the diagnostic underwing pattern of P. jaliscalis. A more routine shot of the same individual is linked below.

ID Info?
What is diagnostic about the underwing pattern? How are santafealis and jaliscalis separated? There are BOLD records of santafealis from New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Chihuahua, Mexico as well as MPG records from Florida where it was originally described so I'm not sure I can eliminate Texas as possible.
