Stalk-eyed Fly - Sphyracephala brevicornis

Stalk-eyed Fly - Sphyracephala brevicornis
Ballston Lake, Saratoga County, New York, USA
November 23, 2010
Size: 4-5 mm
On side of spring house. ID help appreciated.

Moved from Frass. The new ones look good! Let's keep this one for a while, too.

at least this one seems like a keeper.

After you identified it,
I went back and found a mating pair to photograph. I will put those in S. brevicornis, and would appreciate it if you would verify their ID for me. If you want to keep this picture too, it's ok but maybe not necessary. Thanks for your help.

Moved from ID Request.
