Hadrurus anzaborrego
Thank you so much for calling our attention to this new species of Hadrurus scorpion that is mainly located in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. I clearly see the V-shaped mark on the carapace in this photo. I could find the article with the new description on the web; it also has some good maps.

What is interesting to me is that one of the locales for H. anzaborrego is Borrego Palm Canyon Trail. According to his state park map, it is also the site where H. arizonensis has be found. We have a photo of a Hadrurus species that we think is H. arizonensis--the carapace does not have the V-shaped mark but is rather quite rounded. I am going to post that scorpion.
