Cephaloon is in the Family Stenotrachelidae [False Longhorn Beetles].

Only C. tenuicorne (compare with Type) is listed from Alberta here (old family name) - already in the guide here.

Hard to say if thats it - your shot agrees well with the one on BG [ID'd by process of elimination], but not so much with the type. Difference in sexes?
