Gilded River Cruiser - Macromia pacifica - Male
Little Missouri River, 2 miles south of Alzada, 45.00237 -104.42525, Carter County, Montana, USA
July 14, 2010
Size: 65mm
This is the first adult Macromia documented in the state of Montana. Macromia larvae are present in this stream basin, but the species was unknown until this this finding. Prior to this, it had been determined that M. illinoiensis was the most likely candidate.
