Unidentified - Cosmopterix gemmiferella

Unidentified - Cosmopterix gemmiferella
Bartlesville, Washington County, Oklahoma, USA
September 26, 2009
Identified at the Cosmopterix genus level by DNA barcoding, BOLD LPOKD598-09
This specimen is shown here: BOLD:AAL8306
Found at UV light near pond in wooded area of a flood plain.

Keys out to C. gemmiferella using Hodges' MONA fascicle
Moved from Cosmopterix.

BOLD
This is in it's own BIN, BOLD:AAL8306, with two other samples identified only to genus. However, I think that this may very well be the correct BIN for gemmiferella. I'm not at my home in NY and can't look it up in the fascicle but I assume you have it right about Mark's.

There are barcoded samples identified as gemmiferella but they are 100% matches for pulchrimella and are too dark to be identifiable by sight though the antennae do not appear to look like Mark's. There is a sample, CNCLEP00101259, shown on the gemmiferella page which was not barcoded and has antennae which does seem to match Mark's.
