Longhorned Beetle - Sybra alternans

Longhorned Beetle - Sybra alternans
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, USA
July 7, 2004
This photo was taken at the Frenchman's Forest Natural Area. This was a very small longhorn beetle, (no bigger than 10-12mm) and was seen on a dead bush chewing holes in the twigs (perhaps a twig-borer?). There were quite a few other longhorns congregated on this dead bush as well. All were about the same size, but marked different like this fella:

I recieved an email from Dr. M.C. Thomas of the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services and he had this to say:

This is Sybra alternans (Wiedemann), an Asian cerambycid that first showed up in South Florida about 10 years ago and is established.

...so I'll hafta create a guide for it:)
