Alfalfa Looper - Autographa californica

Alfalfa Looper - Autographa californica
Lacey (near Olympia), Thurston County, Washington, USA
October 27, 2010
Looks like Autographa, but doesn't match either A. californica or A. corusca that well from what I can see...

Moved
Moved from Moths.

Looks like Autographa californica
Don't depend on the signature swoosh to much. The other patterns and colors are good fit for A. californica.

In particular
it does have the black dash along the vein extending proximally from the subterminal line. I looked pretty carefully through all the Plusiinae, & while I saw some other possibilities, A. californica does look like the best match.
