Can you tell from this image if this is Archytas apicifer? Thank you for your help.

Wow.
I agree with the genus, but the metallic blue really threw me. I thought for sure it was going to be a calliphorid, from the thumbnail:-) Archytas are difficult to ID to species, even from specimens.
