Araneus ? - Neoscona arabesca

Araneus ? - Neoscona arabesca
St-Hugues, Quebec, Canada
July 6, 2010

Moved
Moved from ID Request. Nope, this is a Neoscona arabesca. You can usually separate Araneus sp. from Neoscona by looking for 'shoulders'. Araneus usually have the 'shoulders' Neoscona don't. Compare with Araneus here (and look for the pointy parts on the spider's abdomen, which is what we call shoulders):

The shoulders are easier to see on some Araneus than others.
