aspersa group - Mordellistena rubrifascia

aspersa group - Mordellistena rubrifascia
Medford, (~25 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
July 15, 2007
aspersa group members are supposed to have ridges 2(or 3),3,2. I believe this one is part of that group, and specifically M. rubrifascia Liljeblad, by the lighter coloration of the first 4 antenna segments and front and middle legs. As for ridges, the left hind leg looks to me more like 3 (3rd poss. rudimentary), 4,3; and the right one appears to be 2,4,2. But I still think this is from the aspersa group, and very likely M. rubrifascia. Corrections welcome :)

Colors in this image somewhat lightened, in attempt to better see the ridges.

came to UV light.
