Maybe not.
The first beetle I thought of doesn't match. The fore-tarsi would need to be built for digging. Compare:
However, I vaguely recall reading about tiny members of this family that follow wood-boring larvae into their tunnels and prey on them. They wouldn't need digging tarsi.
