Attracted to porch light. Different coloration than this other one I found the same night.

maybe S. lecontei
please consider sending your ground beetles to Peter Messer for ID -- having BG photos supported by voucher specimens is the best way to proceed, esp. as it comes to speciose taxa of smaller carabids

i appreciate it a lot
the 'voucher program' will enormously increase the guide's value as we'll be confident what the guide photos actually show, rather than guessing based on preponderance of evidence; i'm sure that, a serious entomologist that you are, you will also benefit from expert IDs of the actual specimens
