NJ Stored Grain Moth - Aglossa caprealis

NJ Stored Grain Moth - Aglossa caprealis
Highland Park, Middlesex County, New Jersey, USA
July 18, 2007
Size: 15 mm
found on outdoor porch

size 'head to wing base'
did you mean 'wing tip'?
base is the place where an appendage joins the body

I was trying to write "wing baseline"
but ran out of room ... obviously I need to come up with a better way to say it succinctly. :-) Measurement is not to the wing tip; it's to the midpoint of a line connecting the wingtips.

i see -- thanks for explaining
i'm not familiar with moth measurement terminology

moth measurement terminology?
I'm makin' it up as I go along! The main thing is just to be clear, so thanks for seeking clarification.
