Moved tentatively based on Igor Sokolov's suggestion:
"perhaps something close to Notiobia mexicana"

Moved from Ground Beetles.

Possibly Notiobia
but probably not N. mexicana. While the latter species is certainly purplish, it should have pronotum somewhat sinuate and with sharper hind angles than those shown in image. Also, that species is previously known only in AZ, NM and into Mexico. I would need to examine this specimen to be sure of even the genus.

Thanks to Drs. Sokolov and Messer and to Vassili,
I appreciate your expertize.

what a funny thing
was this purplish luster really so intense?

nearly,
blue color was present but not as strong as under lights.
