Tiny beetle - Sericoderus

Tiny beetle - Sericoderus
Mesa County, Colorado, USA
May 28, 2009
Size: 1.5mm
I have run this through the a key several times, and it keeps coming to Staphylinidae. Is that correct? I didn't think they could be so small, or have the pronotum hiding the head.
