Season
Adults emerge from leaf galls in June. (1)
Remarks
Causes bract-bearing midrib swellings, containing 1-6 cells, in leaves of the white oak group. Originally described from white oak (Quercus alba); the holotype and gall are lost. The description of adult and gall agree with Andricus foliosus Weld, described from swamp white oak (Quercus bicolor). (1)
