Dragonfly - Libellula croceipennis - female

Dragonfly - Libellula croceipennis - Female
Tyler, Smith County, Texas, USA
June 11, 2007
I have several dragonflies I cannot ID. I have a book, but I cannot find a match to these in the book

Moved
Moved from Dragonflies.

In my opinion - Libellula croceipennis (female)
Per Paulson (1) Glossary - the anal loop is a foot-shaped cluster of cells in the hindwing of skimmers and emeralds

Per Dunkle (2):
Female L. croceipennis has 0-2 ankle cells in anal loop of the hindwing
Female L. saturata has 5 or more ankle cells

See DIGITAL DRAGONFLIES - Libellula croceipennis - female
Contrast with DIGITAL DRAGONFLIES - Libellula saturata - female

Your dragonfly appears to have only one or two ankle cells in each of its hindwings.

Thank you
Thank you all very much for your time and the ID's.
