these flat, shiny guys make great subjects. Laemophloeus fasciatus, I suppose?

L. megacephalus Grouvelle -- det. M.C. Thomas
his note: "A VERY nice picture of L. megacephalus Grouvelle. Note the tuft of long setae on the antennal scape and the shape of the epistome. This specimen has somewhat the coloration of L. fasciatus, but L. megacephalus is quite variable in color and I have seen specimens like this before."

Moved from Laemophloeus fasciatus.

Thanks v & Dr. Thomas!
any chance of finding still other Laemophloeus sp. (such as L. woodruffi) in South Jersey? Previously, I thought I was only seeing L. fasciatus and biguttatus, but I'll post all others I find if there's more diversity to be found.

Certainly possible
It and L. fervidus could possibly occur in your area.
