I didn't realize Carolina Beach State Park was that far south, so I may be wrong about it being the most northern report. Regardless, it is an exciting discovery.

In fact this may be the most northern report of the species ever. Previously it was known only as far north as South Carolina according to the most recent paper on the species:

They're about the same.
Both Columbia, SC and Carolina Beach are somewhere between 34.0 and 34.1 degrees north latitude, though Carolina Beach State Park is in the northern part of the city.
Thanks for the ID. It's nice to know it's a special find!
