Arizona moth - Perigonica fulminans - male

Arizona moth - Perigonica fulminans - Male
Oak Creek Village, Yavapai County, Arizona, USA
March 17, 2009
Size: 23 mm long
At floodlights outside the pedestrian mall where we had dinner. ID by Kelly Richers: "I would put it rather [than P. pectinata] as Perigonica angulata, MONA 10468. Pectinata has actually even longer antennae strands. Also note the very angled end of the forewing."

Moved
Moved from Perigonica angulata.

Tomas Mustelin noticed this misplaced photo. Will grab it for MPG.
Thank you!

Excellent, thank you!
I'll take your word on the ID. I had gotten the previous ID from the state records coordinator, but it never looked quite right to me. And if there were no examples of fulminans in the MPG live specimen plate, that'd explain why I missed it.

Thomas knows his moths.. :)
Here is one of many papers he authored and coauthored. (1)
Check back to the species page later. Hopefully I can get more notes up soon.
