Which Herpetogramma? - Herpetogramma fluctuosalis
Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, USA
August 21, 2010
Attracted to my garage light. Can't settle on an ID.

Has the prominent, dark discal spots of H. bipunctalis but PM line is much more irregular than any of our images or those of MPG.

Has the light area between the discal spots of H. aeglealis but lacks the white patch on the tornus. Coloration is also different.

Would appreciate input.
