. Somehow no one has submitted a photo of one of these before. Maybe because they're easily mistaken for fruits, if one doesn't know what witch hazel fruits look like.

It was too cold to find bugs, so I went out looking for galls, and found a few that looked different. Charlie, thanks for identifying this.
