Good Call - 2208 - Mirificarma eburnella
Introduced, perhaps in the 50s. Looks like it has moved north from Sacramento Valley. Larvae on clover. Phil, did you by chance get a lateral view?

Sorry, but no. I was photographing some Isabella Tiger moths, and this little guy just showed up in one of the images - I didn't notice it until all the images were downloaded.

Look at Eulia ministrana
The Ferruginous Eulia (leafroller) 3565. Not sure as some features seem different. Will get you started however. If it is it is a European leafroller that has been here quite a while.
