orange county marine isopod #7

orange county marine isopod #7
Crystal Cove, Orange County, California, USA
December 30, 2010
Size: ~1mm?
In addition to the marine isopods I actively sought out and shot, I found a few bonuses when I got home and looked at the computer. Apparently, the rocks I was shooting were covered in extremely minute isopods, not much larger than a few grains of sand. However, due to a variety of factors (not limited to their very small size, the fact that I was shooting them through the water, and the fact that they were not the main focal point of the shot) none of them came out very well. I will refrain from posting most of these shots, but if I may post just one, I thought this bonus isopod was the most distinct/interesting.

Please feel free to frass this or any of my other isopod images if you feel they don't contribute to the guide. I will be very thankful to anyone who can help contribute an ID to these :)
