Zilora hispida - Zilora hispida - male

Zilora hispida - Zilora hispida - Male
Sandia Mountains, Bernalillo County, New Mexico, USA
August 11, 2010
Size: 5.5 mm
This was found at night running around on a downed length of dead White fir (Abies concolor) at 10400' elevation. I'm pretty sure about the ID, using Am Beets and Mank's 1938 key to species. Also compared with the Harvard Type pictures. Only problem is color. Mank says this should be much lighter than Z. occidentalis whereas my occidentalis are much lighter colored??
