Mandibles do not appear sufficiently elongated
in the close-up to justify Chlaenius emarginatus. In retrospect also, the antennae show 3rd segment not significantly elongated relative to the 4th segment. This combination of image interpretations (uncertain) would weigh in favor of C. tricolor.
