1960 is a while ago. Thing is almost as old as me. Then again, I saw at the AMNH a few years ago, beetle specimens collected and mounted by Darwin and the beetle themselves looked no older than the beetles in my collection. The only way to know they were old specimens was the pins were covered with a green encrustation and of course the labels were yellowed,
