I think that the pink is individually variable
within the species. Some have it, others don't. However, I'm not an expert on this group, different species can be very confusingly similar (and I'm not sure if the experts even get them right all the time ?). N. festaria did seem like the best fit to me though.

I.D.
Thank you. The moth looks just like the Nernoria festaria except for the pink color of the fringe, legs and the dorsal abdominal markings. Is there a cousin that has the pink color? Does anyone have photos of the pupae or the larvae? This adult female was from the green colored caterpillar. The reddish colored caterpillar hibernated as a pupa.
