leafminer - Agromyza alnibetulae-maybe

leafminer - Agromyza alnibetulae-maybe
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
July 20, 2006
on Betula papyrifera

Moved from Agromyza.

Moved from Leaf Miner Flies.
Very likely Agromyza alnibetulae, which is not known to occur in North America--but mines like this have been reported previously from AB, ON, and QC, and I have found them in New England.

Moved from Unidentified Leaf Mines.
Looks like a classic agromyzid mine, though there are no leafminers of Betulaceae listed in (1).
