Moved from Harvestmen. It looks like we have this genus in the wrong family.

No, you don't exactly have it in the wrong family - I was just
forgetting about Sabaconidae. The thing is, everyone admits
Ceratolasmatidae is probably not valid but they're unwilling to take
the logical step of expanding Ischyropsalididae to an all-inclusive
form that would embrace the "ceratolasmatids" and "sabaconids". RC

Genus Taracus (family Ischyropsalididae or Ceratolasmatidae depending
on who you listen to). Species level ID presently impossible because
none of the few named species have their genitalia illustrated, and
there are probably more unnamed than named species. Bill Shear plans
to work on this genus after he finishes his present project on
Hesperonemastoma.
