Araneus pratensis - female

Araneus pratensis - Female
Rancocas, Rancocas Nature Center NJAS, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
October 25, 2010
Size: Maybe around 4.5 - 5 mm?
Is this Araneus pratensis?
I'm fairly sure this came from the Rancocas Nature Center NJAS, although I had another one from Camp Creek Run in Marlton (same county).

Araneus pratensis
sure looks right. The only two visible small differences from the ones in the guide are the white spot on the carapace and the lack of dark spots on the abdomen. I have a feeling those dark spots may disappear if the spider's abdomen is swollen enough.

Thanks
I may send this one off for confirmation. I was going to move at least one in for a datapoint, do you want the others for now until I can get better next year (hopefully).
