Just another unidentifiable Theridion? I hope not; those markings look pretty distinctive. Found on dry blackberry leaf, early afternoon. No web.

This looks to me like a subadult male... female...

Perhaps R.J. Adams might recognize it. Reminds me somehow of Enoplognatha, but probably is a Theridion species. Can you get a shot of the ventral side?

No more shots
After the spider finished its modeling session, I put it back where I'd found it. Its ventral surface--I presume you mean the abdomen--was more heavily marked with dark red than its dorsal surface.

Don't palps that look like those always belong to subadult males?
