Centruroides gracilis? - Centruroides gracilis - male

Centruroides gracilis? - Centruroides gracilis - Male
Gasparilla Island, Lee County, Florida, USA
July 14, 2010
Size: Body approx 50mm
This was the largest scorpion I have seen in Florida and the first one I have seen since I started photographing insects. It was located about 100 yards from the ocean under sea grape leaf litter. Looking through the two types of scorpions that seem to be most common from Florida in the guide, it looks closest to Centruroides gracilis, but I am not sure.

Moved
Moved from Scorpions.

Absolutely!
Big beautiful male, too!

Nice!
All I see up here in VA are the tiny and very beautiful Psuedoscorpions.
