Porcelain Gray - Protoboarmia porcelaria

Porcelain Gray - Protoboarmia porcelaria
Lacey (near Olympia), Thurston County, Washington, USA
July 13, 2009

Moved
Moved from Small Engrailed.

Moved from Moths.

Looks like Ectropis crepuscularia
... the Small Engrailed Moth 6597. Variable in pattern and coloration as can be seen in those posted in BG.

Why not a porcelain grey?
Looks like a decent match, Dick, but while I was looking at those images, I also found the porcelain greys, which look close also. How can you differentiate between the two?
