Bostrich - Xylopsocus capucinus

Bostrich - Xylopsocus capucinus
Medford, (~25 miles east of Philadelphia, PA) Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
July 6, 2010
Size: 4.1mm
here's the requested "dorsal". I can re-shoot a true dorsal if needed. (and I used a set-up with too much magnification - would back it down a bit for a better image)

Moved from Bostrichinae.

This is not Xylobiops basilar
This is not Xylobiops basilaris but a member of the genus Xylopsocus possibly capucinus but would need to see the specimen to compare to other members of the genus. They are very hard to id by pictures.

Thanks
Thanks for the ID. While the shape certainly looks very similar to the image of X. capucinus currently in the Guide, the punctation on both the elytra and around the base of the pronotum is much finer and sparcer on my beetle.
