I've checked all BugGuide caterpillars: this seems to suggest tiger moths. Any takers? This is a posed shot as the subject was given to me in a plastic bag.

With it's short hairs on most of the body
long hairs toward the rear, and straight rows of tubercles, it does look like the Estigmene where you compared it this morning. But we don't know what options you might have out there in Arizona. At least it should be close to that.
