One of the foremost experts on Florida ants is employed as the invertebrate ecologist right there at Archbold Station, and there is a well-curated reference collection there, too.

for the ID. Yes and Dr. Deyrup is an all around great guy too. I do provide the images to him and Archbold has used some for their website and other projects. Unfortunately, he is pretty busy and kind of hit and miss on replying to emails. I can only make it to Archbold on the weekends and, of course, he is not there then.
