Closest thing I could find was 5721 –
Apomyelois bistriatella
but I think that's a western moth.

Bob Patterson agrees with this tentative ID, Apomyelois bistriatella. It is found in east US as well as Europe.

Looks like the Myelopsis from here
and perhaps Myelopsis subtetricella - Acorn Moth 5718. It would be interesting to have a DNA sequence on this NE specimen.

This moth is in the
Phycitini
tribe but #5718 is not in north-east fauna. I'm thinking possibly something closer to a sweetgum leafroller. Surely Maury or BP will know
