7285 - Triphosa haesitata
.... confirmed by Gary Anweiler, Strickland Entomological Museum

Bob, after submitting the ID request, I found a photo in Jeffrey Miller's Lepidoptera of the Pacific Northwest: Caterpillars and Adults that matches my photo very well so I think it might be T. californiata, at least it is very different from the other T. haesitata that I have. This publication is different that the Macromoths of Northwest Forest and Woodlands which is on the Web.

I agree, it's a perfect match....
for the forewings. Miller's specimen has very worn hindwings. Go with H. californiata.
