Found this on my archive disk. Looks similar to images in Chalcosyrphus genus.

Perhaps this one -
Chalcosyrphus curvaria (Curran, 1941). See specimen from Minnesota at Syrphidae Community Website.

It's more likely to attract expert attention there. (For sure, it's a syrphid, but I wouldn't put it there just yet.)
