Large grey moth with circular mark - Antheraea polyphemus

Large grey moth with circular mark - Antheraea polyphemus
McLean, North part of the state, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
July 14, 2004
This was on a horseradish plant in a garden. 7-8 cm long, it stayed here ~5 hours.

I could not find anything in the Guide or the first 22 Recent pages.

Thanks,

jj

Polyphemus, I believe
This is a Polyphemus Moth, I believe. It is very gray underneath, but you can see the eyespot. I think it is amale, with the huge antennae.
