"Well, I can't really see the eyes clearly... but by the shape of the terminal max. palpomere, it definitely isn't cultriformis, castanea, or ovata... that leaves gracilis, I believe."

Fla. list shows all 3 common, widespread eastern spp.

 
they are great jumpers...
...and may be hard to photograph because of that; they also show up at my patio lights all the time -- i see maybe a dozen a summer there

 
Yeah,this one jumped like a clicker,kinda which had
me stumped.Tricky beetle anyhow and we need more.
