I believe this is a tawny mole cricket (Scapteriscus vicinus). It's a close call between this and the southern (Scapteriscus borellii), but what decided me were the markings on this one's pronotum. University of Florida's pronotum guide was a great help here. Another reason I believe this is a tawny rather than a southern mole cricket is because the southern species plays dead during attempted capture, which this one did not. (We were trying to get it off the road -- spotted it in the middle of a strip mall parking lot at around 9 PM.)

Based on the info on UF's biology page, I'm assuming this one is a male because of the large cells in its forewings. Changed to female, based on comment.
