Actually, I had completely forgotten about this prior assessment. In re-reading Townes' color description of the species in which he said the metasomal (abdominal to Townes) terga were laterally white and that the underside of the metasoma was entirely white, it agreed so well with the series of photos by Cotinis, which even included the underside of the metasoma, that I decided it couldn't be anything but this species. Moreover, the fact that three persons have now gotten pics of this species comports well with Townes' statement that the species is moderately common.

I was thinking
Exetastes
but found no species in the Townes revision appearing to agree with this coloration so wonder if this could be
Diradops bethunei
(Cresson), which may agree in coloration and does appear to be in general structural agreement.
