Tapinoma, I suppose.
Another option is a minor worker of Liometopum luctuosum, but can't say with these images.

 
redwood post
This ant was rapidly moving all over the top of an old redwood post, where springtails have been photographed in the past, if that is any help.

 
Perhaps more useful would be
Perhaps more useful would be more general habitat info, though not on a mature oak suggests not Liometopum, and rather, Tapinoma.

 
Habitat
This ring of redwood posts at Big Basin Headquarters, is around a field of mostly torrent sedge, there are some Mature redwoods on one side, a Douglas fir hangs over one corner, and several Santa Cruz Mountains Coastal Live Oaks over about a third of the ring.

Nearly half of it has no trees hanging over it, except a younger SCM LO, and is in the sun. I find most of the ants around there in the sunny areas, and maybe a tad closer to the Coastal Redwoods.
