I've been observing this "colony" for 2 seasons. This year (2006) I saw my first female on April 11.

Where that came from...

P and B sound very much alike- for some people, they're identical as pronounced at the end of a word. Also, you may have been influenced by the P in the next word.

i cant

tell about the other spider, but this one is a running crab spider, Philodromidae, Thanatus sp.

redetermination

This Pompilid is likely Anoplius tenebrosus (not P. minorata).
