Moved from Treehoppers.

Perhaps
something in/near Polyglypta?

I'll be interested in seeing what Dr. Hamilton has to say.

Polyglypta costata
Both P. costata and P. dorsalis are recorded from GA and TX, and specimens in our collection show the complete range of colors, from very pale to almost entirely black, so I believe that these two names are synonyms.

If so, P. costata is senior by one year. It is also the type-species of the genus by monotypy (i.e., it was originally the only included species).

GA and TX is an odd distribution...
Andy, Do you have a series of spmns from both states? I trust you saw both taxa illustrated in the BCA here: Figs. 4 and 5. Thanks, Mike

Thanks much for pointing in the right direction!
thanks again, Mike
