Identification
General characteristics like T. melanarius, punctures on forebody usually denser (variable to some extent).
Pronotum widest at anteriour third [at anteriour 1/5 in T. melanarius]
Safe discrimination by male genitalia.
Not in the books, but useful to discriminate vs. T. melanarius, if seen:
Tip of mandibles sharp in dorsal, but bluntly rounded in frontal view, shaped like breakfast knife.
(caution: make sure edge of mandible is not worn off)
