Soldier fly?
Hi Doug. Not an expert, but Stratiomyidae looks right to me. Please wait for someone who knows what they're doing to chime in and confirm the family placement. Long shot guess on my part... but your image looks somewhat similar to the male in this post. So, maybe something in subfamily Beridinae???
